The AAW audience was treated to a classic contest at Unleashed when the reigning and defending AAW No Limits Champion Felix Young took on former AAW World Champion TJ Max. The two men subverted expectations during the bout, abandoning the tradition of wielding weapons during No Limits Championship matches. Instead the two both put their bodies and their careers on the line in classic contest that spread throughout the arena. It seemed that TJ Max may have done enough to finally unseat the long-time champion, but after trading blows a controversial referee decision seemingly brought the contest to a premature end.
The AAW audience, AAW President and TJ Max all argued that TJ’s shoulder was off the canvas before the count of three, however the assigned official counted the fall and there was no reversing the decision. Clearly frustrated, TJ gained a measure of revenge later that night by eliminating Felix Young from the Unleashed Rumble. However, Max will receive another opportunity at the No Limits Championship at Code Red, and to ensure that the same confusion doesn’t occur twice, AAW President James Grace has ordered this match to be Two out of Three Falls match!
