AAW has hosted hundreds of tag team wars in its twelve years, but perhaps none more ‘chaotic’ than the first ever Dog Collar match between the defending champions ‘The Western Kingdom’ and the former champions the ‘Perth K9s’. The rules were simple, there were none, other than each man would be attached to an opposing team member by a collar and chain!
The contest delivered quickly on its promise of violence as the four men tore each other apart! The ring could not contain the action and the violence escalated to such a degree that not even Dane and Killah’s chain could contain them. In what has developed into one of AAW most intriguing rivalries the fan favourites fought valiantly against the ‘Kingdom’ in their efforts to win back the titles; but in the end it was former World Champion Killah and his cousin Marco Garcia who retained the AAW Tag Team Championships.
Unfortunately, the victory was not enough to satisfy the stable whose staple has become total annihilation. The Western Kingdom continued to beat down Dane and Odin, chocking them with the chains until AAW General Manager and officials had to storm the ring to stop the sadistic assault.
When the dust settled on this tag team war a few things became clear; Dane and Odin may need some time to recover from the brutality they suffered; and our reigning AAW Tag Team Champions may be the most dangerous duo we have ever seen.
